Colin grew up in Albuquerque, NM and completed an undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Duke University. He remained at Duke for medical school and then moved to Boston for residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital where he served as a chief resident in his final year. He grew interested in congenital heart disease but was drawn to acquired heart diseases including coronary and valvular disease and ultimately completed fellowship in general cardiology at Washington University in St. Louis. He plans to develop a career as an academic interventional and structural cardiologist with expertise in adult congenital interventions.
